Clearwater Beach
The beach is the showpiece for this community in Tampa Bay with several Clearwater Beach beaches named as best in the nation. In fact, Trip Advisor named Clearwater Beach the nation's #1 beach in 2019, 2018 and 2016. From sugar sand beaches, to fine dining and a wealth of family activites, Clearwater Beach is a great place to live (and vacation).
Clearwater Beach is a small beachside community located between the Gulf of Mexico and the Intracoastal Waterway in Pinellas County. It is connected to the city of Clearwater by the Clearwater Memorial Causeway.
Besides the beaches, there is Clearwater Beach's inviting, small-town atmosphere. There are parks to visit as well as looking for fish, dolphins and manatees in the local waterways. There are also opportunities to kayak, paddleboard, rent jet skis and even board a pirate ship. There's a full marina on the Intercoastal side of the city.
And after the sun goes down, Pier 60 lights up. There's a small covered playground for the kids as well as nightly entertainment including food vendor, street performers and artists selling their crafts. Pier 60 is a central spot for beachgoers with a long fishing pier. The Beach Walk continues south of the pier with drinking fountains, showers for beachcombers to rinse the sand off and bicycle racks.
There are a variety of housing options in Clearwater Beach including single family and condos. There are waterfront and beachfront options as well.
Clearwater Beach is a member of the Clearwater Public Library system. There is a branch on Bay Esplanade. There are many great dining options including Backwaters on Sand Key, the Columbia Restaurant, Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill and Pearly’s Beach Eats.
