We have some of the best beaches in the world within an hour or less from Tampa, we have Clearwater Beach and fort De Soto. They're absolutely beautiful with white sands and blue waters. They have great day-life and awesome nightlife, beach culture is there.

Tampa is the largest city on the west coast of Florida and is part of the Tampa Bay metropolitan area. It is separated from neighboring cities St. Petersburg and Clearwater by the Tampa Bay.

It is a fast-growing city in the area, ranked second in the state for job growth and first in job demand according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal. Tampa was ranked as the 5th best outdoor city by Forbes in 2008. It also ranks as the 5th most popular American city based on where people want to live, according to a 2009 Pew Research Center study. The real estate market is stable and growing with development expected in north and east Tampa. Real estate options include historic bungalows, modern downtown condos, villas, townhouses, waterfront mansions and farms.

Tampa Florida Relocation Information

Tampa is spread out across more than 112 square miles. The city is divided into several popular neighborhoods include downtown Tampa/South Tampa, New Tampa, Carrollwood, Westchase and Northdale. Tampa is part of the 8th largest school district in the country (School District of Hillsborough County) and offers many private and charter school options as well. MacDill Air Force Base, the Port of Tampa and Busch Gardens are all located in Tampa.

Tampa offers professional sports (the Tampa Bay Lightning and Tampa Bay Buccaneers both play in Tampa while the Tampa Bay Rays play across the bay in St. Petersburg), arts and culture (Straz Center for the Performing Arts, Tampa Theatre, Tampa Museum of Art, MOSI and Glazer Children’s museum) and outdoor fun (Tampa Riverwalk, Upper Tampa Bay Trail, ZooTampa and more than 150 parks.)

Transportation around the city including three major interstates, two toll road expressways, Tampa International Airport, the Port of Tampa and railroad access via Amtrak. Tampa is home to the University of South Florida and the University of Tampa. Tampa is bordered by two bodies of water, Old Tampa Bay and Hillsborough Bay, both of which flow together to form Tampa Bay, which in turn flows into the Gulf of Mexico. The Hillsborough River flows out into Hillsborough Bay, passing directly in front of Downtown Tampa and supplying Tampa’s main source of freshwater.
