Florida Strawberry Festival

March 2-12

Plant City

A traditional American fair with a local twist. Did you know more than 10,000 acres of strawberries are planted annually in the Plant City area? That is a great reason to celebrate. The festival celebrates all things strawberries plus rides, attractions, animals, live entertainment, shows and more. In fact, the Florida Strawberry Festival has become a well-known concert stop as well. Some of this year’s headliners: The Oakridge Boys, Willie Nelson, Sara Evans, Ludacris, Chris Young, Tanya Tucker, For King + Country, Wayne Newton, Train, Lynyrd Skynyrd and more. Tickets are $10 with headliner concerts extra.

Downtown St. Petersburg

The IndyCar season’s opening event turns the streets of St. Pete into a waterfront street course. Grandstand tickets start at $95 with general admission as low as $25. The event also features a fan village, beer gardens, autograph sessions, interactive games and more.

Gasparilla Festival of the Arts

March 4-5

You know we love art and this is one of our favorite local art festivals. Artists from around the country will delight art enthusiasts with their work including ceramics, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, watercolor and wood. This event will also feature the works of local young artists, food vendors and live entertainment. One of our favorite parts of this event is the Chalk Walk: specially commissioned chalk artists bring their amazing chalk drawings to life in an interactive live-art experience. And best of all, the event is free!

Mayor’s River O’Green Fest

Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park

The City of Tampa’s official Saint Patrick’s Day event takes place on the Hillsborough River, which is turned green for the occasion. The all-ages party includes live entertainment, games, kids activities, the River O’Green Gallop, Irish faire, beer and more.

Reggae Rise Up

March 16-19

Vinoy Park, St. Petersburg

The biggest names in reggae – including Wiz Khalifa, Koffee, and more - come together on the beautiful St. Pete waterfront. The festival has multiple stages, food vendors, beer trailers, games, craft vendors, art and more. Tickets start at $120.

Vienna Light Orchestra

Stratz Center for the Performing Arts

Quite simply a musical phenomenon like no other, surrounded by over two thousand flickering candles and the melodic sounds they sparkle to. The concert will highlight the works of the musical phenomenon, “The Greatest Showman” and so much more!  Accompanying the Vienna Light Orchestra’s world-class ensemble are renowned vocalists, dueling violins and cellos. Tickets range from $45 to $250 per person and the event is recommended for ages six years and older.
