Super Bowl fun here in Tampa
The stage is set and our Tampa Bay Bucs are going to the big game in their home stadium!
The countdown is on – less than 2 weeks! - for Tampa to host Super Bowl LV at Raymond James Stadium on Feb. 7. It's the Tampa Bay Bucs vs. defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs.
But before the big game, get ready to pass, punt and kick your way to a super fun time as Tampa prepares for Super Bowl Sunday here in Tampa!
Workers are transforming Julian B. Lane Park (located at 1001 N Blvd) into the Super Bowl Experience, an interactive NFL theme park with family games and entertainment, the Lombardi Trophy on display, and virtual meet-and-greets by NFL players. The Super Bowl Experience opens Friday, Jan. 29.
The attraction is sponsored by Lowe’s and is free for the first time. But you must download the NFL Onepass app and use it to schedule your visit. The crowd at the Super Bowl Experience at Julian B. Lane Park will be limited due to COVID-19. Face coverings will be required in and around the parks and attendees will be required to complete a health screening before entering. Social distancing will also be enforced, and there will be "fan managers" roaming around the park to make sure everyone is adhering to the policies.
There will be more than 3 miles of activities stretched out along the Tampa Riverwalk. You'll be able to punt, pass and kick your way through a football theme park of sorts including a 40-yard dash and vertical jump, take a photo with the Vince Lombardi Trophy, see Super Bowl rings on display and more.
To reserve your time at the park, you need to download the NFL OnePass that’s available in the App store. The experience officially opens Friday.
