Get Your House Ready to Sell

The Tampa Bay real estate market is HOT and homes are selling as fast as they get on the market in many cases. But there are a few things you should consider doing if you are putting your house on the market.

Declutter. Put away personal items and family photos. Clear off dresser, tables and countertops. Grab a box and start packing your personal items and knick-knacks away.

Do a thorough cleaning. Either hire professionals for a deep clean or do it yourself. Pay special attention to ceiling fans and lights, baseboards, clean windows and carpets, and change your A/C filter. Then focus on the outside including pressure washing and trimming bushes and trees.

Touch-up paint. Make sure any paint touchups are complete as well as painting over any stains as those raise red flags to potential buyers. If you have extra tile consider replacing any cracked or damaged tile as well.

Freshen up. Make sure the front door is painted and welcoming. Add fresh mulch in the flower beds as well. Make your home look as inviting as possible.
