Fall fun around Tampa Bay

It’s officially Fall in Tampa Bay. You know what that means? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

We’ll still be dealing with high temperatures, daily thunderstorms and mosquitos for at least another month or 6 weeks. But the humidity is less so let’s celebrate that!

But just because we don’t really have fall weather doesn’t mean we’re not excited for pumpkin everything – pumpkin coffee, pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin bread. The possibilities are endless.

There are lots of fun Fall activities around the Tampa Bay area, even if you can’t wear your flannel and boots just yet.

Take a look at some of our favorite upcoming events in Tampa Bay:

Fall Pumpkin Festival & Haunted Barn at Raprager Family Farm

16907 Boy Scout Rd, Odessa

October 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30; November 5, 6, 12, 13. Hours are Fridays 4-9p, Saturdays 8a-9p and Sundays 8a-7p.

The wide-open spaces of Odessa are the perfect spot for fall fun. The Raprager Family Farms is back for year 3 and the farm has added a bunch of new activities including axe throwing, inflatable haunted maze and pumpkin painting. The festival has standard hayrides, hay chute slide, 80′ bounce pillow, petting zoo, kids fort, corn pit, as well as a pumpkin patch, a 5,000 sq ft haunted barn and cemetery, a mini crop maze, a children’s haunted house and live entertainment. St Pete. Pier Fall Festival

Spa Beach Park & Family Park at St. Pete Pier

Oct. 8 (11a-9p) and Oct. 9 (11a-8p)

Celebrate Fall at the beach, Florida-style. Put your toes in the Bay while enjoying live music, family friendly entertainment, face painting and more. The event is free and food and drink is available for purchase. There is also a pumpkin patch located at Family Park. It is open Oct. 8-16. Hours vary.

Hunsader Farms 31st Annual Pumpkin Festival

5500 C.R. 675 Bradenton

Oct. 15-16, 22-23 and 29-30. 9a-5p

We’ve been visiting the Hunsader Farm since our kids were knee-high to the pumpkins. There are hayrides, a pumpkin patch, food galore, pony rides, pumpkin games, a corn maze and more. There is also awesome entertainment. This year that includes  motorcycle stunts, a magician, a monster truck show, a circus, music and more. Pumpkin Patch Express

12210 83rd Street East, Parrish

What a unique way to celebrate fall – on the train! The Pumpkin Patch Express journeys to the Florida Railroad Museum’s very own pumpkin patch. There are also lots of other activities including hay rides, arts and crafts, Lincoln log building and games. Harvest Moon Fun Farm
