Celebrating the 4th of July in Tampa Bay
We all know Independence Day is about the fireworks. But there are also festivals, concerts, parades and even fun runs. Here's the info you need to celebrate Independence Day in Tampa Bay.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY
July 4th Boat Parade and Blessing of the Fleet
Downtown Tampa
Tuesday, July 4, 2023, 6-10p
The day will start with a waterski show which can only be viewed from Sparkmans Wharf. The boat parade will feature decorated vessels and will start near the Tampa Convention Center and move up the Hillsborough River to Armature Works and back to Sparkmans Wharf. Boats in the parade will be able to take part in the Blessing of the Fleet as well. Fireworks at Sparkman Wharf will conclude the celebration at 10pm.

Boom by the Bay

New to Boom by the Bay this year: a pickleball tournament! There will also be an apple pie bake-off, live entertainment, kids games, food trucks and fireworks. Admission is free and the entire family is welcome, including four-legged members! Fireworks scheduled for 9:15pm.

Grab a spot on the lawn and enjoy prime views of the fireworks display, Friends of the Riverwalk Boat Parade, enjoy a riverfront concert and watch the annual hot dog eating contest.
Star Spangled Sparkman Wharf
July 4, 2023 at 4pm
Great views and entertainment on the 4th of July in downtown Tampa. Star Spangled Sparkman begins at 4pm with DJs, roaming entertainment, festive food and drinks and photo ops. A water ski show begins at 6pm followed by the boat parade. Fireworks will begin at approximately 9pm. The event is free and open to the public. Sparkman Wharf will be limiting capacity— guests are encouraged to arrive early.
Temple Terrace Independence Day Celebration

Temple Terrace celebrates the 4th of July with a parade beginning at 10am at Whiteway Dr. and Gillette Ave. (it will then run south to Druid Hills, west to Ridgedale and south to the Temple Terrace Little League fields.) The festivities continue at 6pm on the 1st fairway with live music and other entertainment, and, of course, a fireworks extravaganza! The fireworks will begin at approximately 9:15pm.
Lutz Independence Day Parade & Fun Run

Parade starts at 10am in Lutz. It travels down Lutz Lake Fern toward US 41. There is also a 5K and 1-mile fun run before the parade.

Family-friendly event with face painting, cornhole, inflattables, rock wall, live music and food vendors. Free admission. Parking $5. Military salute and national anthem at 9 p.m. Fireworks start at approximately 9:15 p.m.

Zephyrhills Summerfest

Light up your summer with a day filled with fun, food, and fireworks. The free event includes food vendors, local market, live DJ and a Kids Zone with bounce houses, a petting zoo, and pony rides. After dark will be a 30 minute fireworks show.
4th of July Celebration at Avalon Park

Celebration includes a bake-off, bike parade, bounce houses, food trucks, vendors and community performances. Fireworks at 9pm. The celebration is free and open to the public.

Gather up the family, grab your blankets or chairs and head to Largo Central Park for live music and an amazing fireworks display. Food and drink vendors will be on site. No alcohol, pets or personal fireworks allowed. There will be limited on-site parking for $10 (cash only).
Clearwater Celebrate America

July 4, 2023 from 10am-11pm
Clearwater Celebrates America will include a classic car show, a local farmers market, street entertainers and other family-friendly entertainment. The grand finale of the day will be a fireworks display accompanied by the Florida Orchestra. Tickets are required for the free concert on July 4 and are available in advance at TheSoundFLA.com. General admission is first come, first serve. Chairs are limited, bringing blankets is encouraged.
Spa Beach Park @ St. Pete Pier

For the third year the St. Pete Pier is celebrating Independence Day. Activities include a St. Pete Pier Run, kids fun zone, craft beer garden, market with local vendors, food trucks, live music and more. A traditional fireworks show will begin at 9pm and will be visible from the entire downtown St. Pete waterfront.
